We hope to use this space to write about why we do what we do, some of our personal experiences on the ground and let you know of matters close to our hearts. We hope to update this blog as regularly as we can and to use this space to disseminate information to our donors, volunteers and followers. We are a 100% donor-run organisation and those working here are volunteering at a capacity that works best for them. In case you didn’t read through our website already, Community Meal Share Trust is a team of people who aspire to bridge the gap between the privileged and underprivileged in Sri Lanka. We currently deliver warm, cooked meals to vulnerable communities to support them during these difficult times and invite you to join us and make a difference. Along with our meals, we bring a different set of values to the table during this period of much-needed change. We choose to deliver warm meals because we know that it has become a luxury for many Sri Lankans in the post-pandemic era. Our story also revolves around our journeys where we keep having to re-learn the art of giving and hope that we can spread to our neighbours and communities.
